Serendipity~

March 16, 2017

One of the greatest joys in my life is being a part of Love Heart Ministries. The best part is the unexpectedness of it all.

Sometimes we start to think that life has somehow passed us by.  We’re stuck in a rut and really don’t see any chance for a change on the horizon. Just plain bored.

Are you convinced that the rest of your life will be exactly what it is today? Well, I’m willing to speculate that it won’t be.

If you are a Christian, are you available to be used by God no matter what He wants? He’s looking for a willing participant, and He knows your heart and what He’s gifted you with.

Yes, you have been gifted even though it may not feel like it…the gifts and abilities are there. It may help to do an inventory. What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? What thrills you?

You might find out that you’ve got a lot more going for you than you think. And, Love Heart, just because you’ve never used that gift before doesn’t mean it’s expired!

Talk your life over with the Gift Giver. Ask Him exactly what it is that He would like you to pursue. He will make it known to you. Then, take my advice.  Fasten your seatbelt…it could be a wild ride! Gwen~

The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives should change everything we do.  We are not the same as we were before we invited the Lord into our lives.

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.  Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.   Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.   For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:12-14, NIV)

When God gives us a task to do; we should do it and NOW!  You may not have a “Next Time!”

“We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”

“Don’t put God off till Sunday”…he doesn’t work on the same timetable we do!  Christ waits for others to come, but he will come whether we are prepared or not!

“But our citizenship is in heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 3:20, NIV)

One Body…

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27, NIV)

A believer who tries to live apart from other believers is like a log that has been removed from a fire. Separated from the other wood, its chance of continuing to burn aren’t very good.  The more time spent away from the other logs, its glow will begin to fade and it will begin to turn cold.

Logs that remain in the fire and burn along side the other logs burn bright and hotter!

That’s how it is for you and me.  When we have the support and encouragement  of fellow believers we stay focused and on Fire for the Lord!

“You are the light of the world…” (Matthew 5:14,NIV)

Bridal Falls

August 5, 2016 — Leave a comment

These trees are nestled in the middle of Bridal Falls in Canada.  Isn’t it just amazing?  Our God puts this master piece in front of us to view just because he loves us.

As I looked at the photo a story came to mind, “The Three Trees.”   It reminds us that God has a plan and if we place our trust in Him it will come out better than we could possible imagine! Deb~ Luke 2:1-7, Matthew 8:23-27 and Matthew 27:32-38

Found this very inspiring. I want to make a difference…how about you?

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (Hebrews 12:1, NIV)

Run you race! ~Debra
