Something amazing happened! James Cameron spent three hours on the bottom of the Mariana Trench. If you’ve never heard of this place, it’s located in the Pacific Ocean and it’s the deepest known place on the earth, 35,756 feet below the surface. That’s nearly 7 miles down.
He spoke of his feeling of isolation from all humanity as he observed the barren desolate lunar-like landscape.
During His crucifixion, Jesus felt alone too! He cried out to His Father asking why He had been forsaken while the very ones He had died to save also turned their backs on Him.
Tomorrow we will celebrate the resurrection of the Christ, our Redeemer. He no longer is dead but is alive!
Listen to these beautiful words of comfort from Psalm 139:7-8.
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are here; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.”
Love Heart, if you have accepted Jesus’s sacrifice on your behalf, you are NEVER alone! Even if you’re sitting smack dab in the middle of the Mariana Trench, (or flying at crusing altitudes of 35,000 feet) our God is there. Praise be to the Lord! He’s Alive!
