It’s easy to remember a man lovingly sitting with children. “…Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. (Mark 10:14, NIV)
A Savior who carefully reached down and touched the eyes of a blind man; and now he sees!
“…he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go” He told him “wash in the Pool of Siloam”. So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.” (John 9:6-7, NIV)
We stop and remember the lame man that friends lowered down through the roof just at the hope that he would be healed by Jesus.
“Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on.” (Mark 2:4, NIV)
We see the love of Christ Jesus with people in need but why don’t we see it in the cross?
It’s personal and it’s real!! Have you received what Christ did for you? If not; I pray that today you would say yes…I need you living in me!
Admit, Believe, Confess…~Debra
A-Admit: Admit to God that you are a sinner, Repent, turning away from your sin. (Roman 3:23; Romans 6:23; Acts 3:19; I John 1:9)
B-Believe: Believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and accept God’s gift of forgiveness from sin. (John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13)
C-Confess:Confess y0ur faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Romans 10:9-10, 13)
Pollution…it’s a word we hear almost everyday. It’s usually referring to the pollutants we put in the air, tin cans, water bottles the list can goes on and on.
How does it apply to your spiritual life?
How about when you’re watching TV show that advocates the very thing that you’ve been teaching your children not to do?
When you’re at work and a co-worker is telling an off colored joke. Do you stick around to listen or do you walk away?
Your boss asks you to do something just a “little” dishonest…
All of this can affect us spiritually. Little by little it invades us and before you know it we will be doing things we never would have thought of.
God’s word tells us…”Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:8-9, NIV)
I want to encourage you to meditate on God’s word and to find yourself a place to worship and keep yourself accountable. We must fill our minds with things of God to fight worldly temptation.
