My husband and I are Harley riders. Yea, some call us crazy but there’s nothing like it.
We are safe riders though. As safe as you can be! We take precautions. We wear our helmets, jeans, boots, glasses, and jackets.
These things should protect us if we should go down. In fact, the time my husband was hit, he would have been killed had it not been for that protection.
Heads that smash into windshields don’t usually survive. Shoulder surgery and a few months of therapy and he’s back on the road.
As Christians we should take precautions too. Quiet time, prayer, bible study, fellowship with fellow believers and devotions are just a few that come to mind. (Ephesians 6:11)
It doesn’t mean that we won’t ever face hardships but we will be protected and better equipped to handle what lies ahead. We will be able to use our knowledge in Christ to aide in our recovery,. (John 16:33)
What if you don’t share in our assurance and knowledge? Are you curious?
The Bible tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) That scripture speaks to you and me.
The word continues by affirming His love, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Consequences: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Solution: “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)
Assurance: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 11:36) Take the first step, pray asking Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart today! Let’s ride, love heart! The journey may not be smooth but you are now child of the King! His guidance and shelter are yours! Deb~
