Archives For faithfulness

Discouragement can rob you of your peace, joy and satisfaction.  But I have GREAT news.  You’re not trapped!

I know people who seem to be in pickle! Then in a few years they are in a better place.

Either their circumstances or emotions have changed.  Why?…you may be asking.  They never gave up!!  Instead of wallowing in self-pity, they made the decision to believe God!

Nehemiah is a perfect example. (Nehemiah 2:1-8, NIV) He had every reason to be discouraged.  His people were in trouble and after receiving news that the city wall had been demolished, this man of God was very disappointed and grieved.  The pain was so great, but Nehemiah didn’t allow himself to stay in this pit.  He cried out to God for direction.

Sadness wasn’t allowed in the company of royalty and would lead to death.  But God answered Nehemiah’s prayer and incited the King to realize his servant’s sadness and how he could help.  This wonder led to the rebuilding of wall and the deliverance of God’s people.

God can take any situation and turn it around!  Do you live in anticipation of what God is going to do?  Or do you live in despair?   God can take your petition…just like Nehemiah’s…and turn it into something wonderful.  Don’t allow negative emotions to take a stronghold, call on God!  Deb~

A Good Word

Back in 2011 I read an article on a news website about a woman who had delivered six babies on Father’s Day.  This is a portion of what the article said.

“Dr. Bill McKenzie, Carroll’s obstetrician, said she is resting and doing well.  ‘Heather and Mitchell Carroll were committed to this journey, their family and community were supportive and God was faithful,’ McKenzie said.”  I couldn’t believe my eyes.

One of Heather and Mitchell Carroll’s sextuplets, born on Sunday, June 19.

Dr. McKenzie, wherever you are, thank you for speaking of God’s faithfulness!  It was like a breath of fresh air in the spring!

If God brings this young family to your mind, please pray for them. Gwen~
