A Really Bad Day!

               Have you had a really bad day?  I mean, really bad.  You wanted to scream because you were so frustrated.  You were rude to your own family! It seems like those days come around much too often.  Grrr.

Here’s the silver lining to that dark cloud:

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23(NIV)

               Wow!  Because of His great love, I wasn’t consumed.  Because of His great love, I can try again tomorrow.  Because of His great love, there is a tomorrow.  Gwen~

1 Chronicles 16:8 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.”

As Love Heart Ministries now has a translator button attached to each post, we are thrilled and very thankful to know that we are making Him known among the nations.  And, what He has done is to have brought salvation to the world through Jesus.  Amen and Amen!

Here’s a very brief synopsis from the scripture.  All have sinned, which simply means that you have not been perfect every second of every day since you were born. This sin has broken our connection to God.  The payment for sin is death.  Death (blood) is required to pay for sin.  Hebrews 9:22b says, “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.”

In the Old Testament times, animals were sacrificed in accordance with certain procedures to pay for the sins of the people.

Then, the One, Jesus, came from heaven and gave his life (blood) to pay for the sins of the people.  Now, it is up to you to accept His blood as the payment for your sin.  He’s done the work and made the offer.  That’s why we call Him Savior, because He has saved us from the penalty of our sins.  He will not force you to take it.  It’s up to you.

Love Heart, if you haven’t accepted the gift of that precious blood, the blood that covers over your sin, please do so today.  There’s nothing you have done that it can’t cover.  It can make the foulest clean! Gwen~

Scripture tell us that God has forgiven our sins …“as far as the east is from the west…Psalms 103:12.   Some of you are thinking, I’ve just done too many thing wrong in my life.  No one could forgive all that!

If you confess your sins and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, you are covered by His blood.

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus Is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved., (Romans 10:9-10, NIV)   thumbnailCAFUUGFZ-150x150

God’s promise to you is based on GRACE, not merit!!  All you have to do is admit, believe, confess…

A-Admit:   Admit to God that you are a sinner, Repent, turning away from your sin.  (Roman 3:23; Romans 6:23; Acts 3:19; I John 1:9)

B-Believe:  Believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and accept God’s gift of forgiveness from sin.  (John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13)

C-Confess: Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Romans 10:9-10, 13)

Christ alone paid that debt, the only thing we can do, is take it to the Cross!!

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1: 9, NIV)

Forgiveness can be a hard thing for some of us to give or accept.  Thank God, through the blood and righteous of Jesus Christ, I AM worthy!       image

           It’s been 40+ years since the infamous Roe v Wade.  Chances are many who are reading this blog weren’t alive then.   Roe v Wade is a US Supreme Court case concerning abortion on demand.  Now you might think that I’m going to address that issue, but I’m not.  I want to talk about forgiveness!

crying-woman           Many years ago, Charles and I were teaching a young married Sunday School class.  I was visiting at the home of one of the students when she began crying.  She had two precious daughters but was riddled with guilt about the child she had aborted.

Please hear this…God forgives!  Not just some sins, but all of them.  1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Purify.  Transitive verb:to make pure: as, a: to clear from material defilement or imperfection, b: to free from guilt or moral or ceremonial blemish, c: to free from undesirable elements (Merriam-Webster)


Jesus forgives those who come to Him in confession. Not only does He forgive, He restores! Your enemy, however, fills you with anguish and self-loathing.  Jesus has freed you, Love Heart.  Thank Him and lift up your head!  Gwen~
