Now I’m not saying to turn a blind eye to things that don’t please God, but if it’s just petty stuff (and stuff that may not please you), stay away!
In 2 Timothy 2:23, the Apostle Paul was writing his dear friend, pastor Timothy. Knowing how entrapping and deadly dissention can be, he said, “Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.”
If you read a verse 24, there are more instructions to go with that. “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.” That might be stinging a little bit. (While you have your bible out, just read all of 2 Timothy!)
All too often we just go through life trying to do it our way. But God was both very gracious and very specific in His written word so we could do things His way. Love Heart, He knows how you’re going to do things, and He knows what a mess you’re going to make, but He loves you anyway!
Take these words to heart – God knows best…every time. Read His Word. Learn His Ways. Gwen~
