Who’s your Guide?

August 7, 2016 — Leave a comment

Are you worn out from the in’s and out’s of everyday life?  Do you feel like you’ve been left out in the sun without a drop of water?

Could you use some relief but don’t know where to look?

I’ve found the answer!

“The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in s sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.  You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” (Isaiah 58:11, NIV)

I’m surprised at the times I’ve tried to do things on my own power!  It never works!

For my thought are not your thought, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”  Isaiah 55:8-9,NIV)

Letting go and putting your trust in God, will mean that we don’t know what’s around the corner, but we do know it will be the right thing.

God doesn’t promise it will be smooth sailing, but He will be right there with us.  How wonderful to spend this precious time with our Lord knowing that he will never leave us or forsake us.

Let God be your guide! ~Debra

Roots

th (4)“A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil.  I sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched , and they withered because they had no root.” (Matthew 13:3-6, NIV)

You hear the word and receive it with joy.  But if you have no roots, it will only last a short time.  When trouble or persecution comes; you will fail.

Dig deep in the word, worship with fellow believers, stay in constant communication with the Father and your roots will grow strong and deep. ~ Debra

What’s Your Guide?

How do you start your day?  Are you rushing to get the kids ready for school and yourself out the door for work?

Love Heart, I want to encourage you to start your day with God.  If you are to stand against compromise you must start each day with God’s word and make it your guide.

“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.  Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8, NIV)

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’.”  (Matthew 4:4, NIV)

He will guide your way and the Holy Spirit will give you warning when temptation arises.  Obey immediately and don’t give Satan a foothold.

Start you day the right way; in His word! ~Debra
