Reflect

th (2)What does your face reflect?  Is it anger, disappointment, resentment or joy, peace, trust and contentment?

Do you crawl around in the darkness of this world, accepting defeat?  God wants you to be a light shinning bright.  Let Him radiant from your face. Trust that God knows just what you’re going through. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through you!

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)

The light of His presences is what the world needs to see in you and me!  ~Debra  th (1)

JOY, JOY, JOY, JOY

th (1)We are meant to experiences the fullness of our salvation.  The Lord wants us to have JOY in His constant and unconditional love.

We look at ourselves in the mirror each morning and judge ourselves by how we look or feel.  When we are on the right track and things are going well, we feel worthy of  Christ’s love.  However, when we are discouraged, we try to correct whatever is wrong.

Love Heart, fix your eyes on Jesus, the Lover of your soul.  Christ sees us clothed in His  righteousness; seek Him!

“Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest whom we confess.  (Hebrews 3:1, NIV)

I’ve got the JOY, JOY, JOY, JOY, down in my heart… ~Debra

It’s the 4th of July. Let’s celebrate!! ~Debra

“Why God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11, NIV)

Dark Side…

th (1)Some days it just seems like there is no hope.  Our problems and the stress associated with them can take their toll! We can see no light at the end of the tunnel and easily lose our focus.

Father God, I know that no matter what comes my way, you are there to see me through!  May I learn and grow from your direction.  May I seek you in ALL things and cling to your word and promises!

Psalms 30:5 “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”

Hallelujah, Joy’s Gonna Come in the Morning! ~Debra

Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy!

th (13)The phones are ringing off the wall at work this morning at work.  Some callers are nice; others not so nice.  It can become very frustrating!

*Deep Breath*…I’m determined that I will not allow others to steal my joy!

Psalms 118:24 “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

I have to remind myself constantly not to complain about the things that happen during my day.  God is the author and creator and maybe there is a lesson I need to learn.  I should give thanks in all circumstances.  I know, that can be a big pill to swallow, but it can be done!  th (14)

God knows exactly what I can handle in a 24 hour period.  I can’t worry about tomorrow or what happened in the past.  I must live for today!

Philippians 3:13-14 “Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, II press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus”
