Yep, He’s Got It!

Einstein1Have you ever had the passing thought that you might just be incredibly smart?  That you have the world by the tail and have got the whole thing figured out?  Hopefully, you noticed the word passing!

I had need of several thousand dollars.  I racked my brain trying to figure out just how I was going to come up with the cash.

The first indication of wrong thinking was the use of I.  God, in His infinite wisdom, provided everything that was needed in ways that were simply unimaginable!

Looking back, it’s very easy to see the series of events that led to His provision, and guess what?  Every one of those events was way beyond my control.  In fact, it would have been impossible for me to orchestrate the circumstances since many of them came into play years before I even knew I had a need!

Our God is so much more that we can even conceive!  Hear the words in Isaiah 55:8-9.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

Love Heart, if you can trust Him with the safety of your soul; why not trust Him completely with the little details of your life?  Gwen~

th (1)For a couple of months now I’ve been having some trouble with my ears; significant pain and drainage!

I’ve been to the doctor; an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Specialist and he says…. he sees nothingREALLY!!  He’s a Specialist for crying out loud!th (5)

Don’t you hate it when someone doesn’t listen to you?  I sure do; especially when it’s my doctor.  I know that he’s the one with the medical degree but I trust him to listen to what I’m telling him and act on it!

I say all that to say this. Who are you putting your trust in?  I’m praying it’s not in possessions, money or people.  When trials come; what can they do for you?

th (7)Put your trust in God, and believe that H will do exactly what He says He will do.  There may be some pain involved but the end result is deeper, fuller relationship with Him. After all He is theTrue Specialist! ~Debra
Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”th (6)

A commercial comes on the TV showing a relaxing white sandy beach.  Aqua blue ocean waves cover the couples feet as the walk hand in hand staring into each others eyes.  The announcer posses the question…why do you work long hours?  Join us in Jamaica, the voice says, suggesting that this is the ultimate reward for all our hard work.

Another commercial comes on showing us pictures of a luxurious car.  A car that does everything for you but drive itself.  of course, you must have it!

What’s the message?  We work to acquire!

There are many reasons we work.  To pay the bills and put food on the table to name a few, but what motivates us in our work?

You might be surprised to learn, it’s our hobbies…leisure time.  Even our spending habits are more on entertainment that any other thing.

How do “WE” as believers define success…the acquiring of money and education topped the list.

Have you ever asked yourself, “Why do I work?”

Remember Love Heart…it’s just stuff and we can’t take it with us when the Lord calls us home.  I don’t want to stand before our King and give an account of all I HAD.

“For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.  Bit if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.  People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.  For the LOVE of money is a root of all kinds of evil.  Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with manygriefs.”                         (1 Timothy 6:7-10, NIV)

“ …to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to obey his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul.” (Joshua 22:5, NIV)

I praying that Christ will show me the work I’m to do and do it!!   Longing to hear Him say: “Well done good and faithful servant!”  (Matthew 25:21, NIV)  ~Deb
