Archives For one way

optionsIn today’s pluralistic society, many folks don’t want to hear about absolutes.  They like options.  If one situation doesn’t please, then perhaps another one will.

Now, that’s OK for a dress choice, or perhaps options are good if you’re considering your vacation spot.  But when it comes to the afterlife, and your eternal soul, there is definitely an absolute.

In Paul’s letter to Timothy he says, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of tone wayhe truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.” (1 Tim 2:1-6)

Those words are as direct as it gets.  One God, One Mediator, One Way.  Love Heart, please don’t be fooled by other options.  If you believe the scripture, there is only one way to be reconciled to God, and that’s through belief in his son, Jesus.  Sorry, my friend, there is no other option.  Gwen~

Truth or Dare

Do you ever question if faith in Jesus in the only way to be saved?  Satan is very crafty.  He lies and twists God’s word to confuse us!  He would have everyone believe that sooner or later everyone will make it to heaven.  Is that what scripture tells us?

We have a choice to reject or accept Christ’s gift of salvation.  “God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.  He who believes in Him is not condemned; he who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believe in the name of the only begotten Sod of God” (John 3:17-18, NIV)

The scripture clearly states that …”whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV).  We only have this time on earth to make that choice.  There are no second chances after death!

Why not make sure of your salvation today, and ask Jesus into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior. God promises eternity for those who make that decision and wrath to those who don’t.  “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; but whoever rejects the son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. ” (John 3:36, NIV)

Do not be fooled by the lure of a second chance.  Remember, there are no second chances after death.  We have this life to accept or reject Christ!

What is your decision?  Deb~
