Praise the Father

imageWe are missing our church fellowship this Sunday morning, my poor husband is trying to pass a kidney stone.  Ouch!

That doesn’t mean, however,  that we are missing worship.  As we read His word and listen to praise music, we feel him renewing our strength.

Time spent with God is never wasted! ~ Debra

“but those who hope in The Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31, NIV)

thHave you ever heard the saying “Stop and smell the roses?”  In this fast pace world we live in, we fail to see the beauty that surrounds us.  Look around and see a glimpse of the power, majesty, and glory of His creation.

Matthew 6:28-29 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Psalms 104:1-35 Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire. He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. …(ESV)

Sing, Sing, Sing

th (1)Our Sunday School Class has been in prayer for a man in our church who has been battling cancer.   th (13)

He went to the doctor this week for his checkup.  I can’t imagine what he must have been going through; praying for healing and having faith that no matter what the test revealed that God would see him through.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

We received word today…his scans are clear!

th (15)The first thing that came to my mind was…”Thank You, Lord!”  I wanted to sing and dance around like a child and I remembered this song… “I wanna sing, sing, sing! I wanna shout, shout, shout!  I wanna sing, I want to shout, praise The Lord!

“To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.” (Psalms 30:11-12)

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

When is the last time you praised Him with total abandonment?  In good times and bad, He is with us…Praise Him!  ~Debra  th (14)

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know full well”  (Psalms 139:14, NIV)

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

Focus on Him! ~Deb

My partner in Love Heart Ministries recently surprised me by joining our Church Choir.  I was asking what she sang and she replied, Alto but not very well.  It reminded me of our Lord’s words in Psalms 100:1, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.”

Remember Love Heart, it not how well you sing but that you SING with all your HEART! ~Deb~

Praise the Lord in joyful song,
Praise Him, Praise Him all day long.
But what of me, I cannot sing;
I have no melody to bring?
Then read again, oh joy of joys,                                                         The Lord said, “Make a joyful noise.”
