Archives For presence

th How aware are you of Satan’s presence?  He’s there, Love Heart!  He will pick and pick until he trips you up!

“Be self-controlled and alert.  Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8)

devour: to swallow or eat up hungrily, voraciously, or ravenously, to consume destructively, recklessly, or wantonly, to engulf or swallow up.

Satan has no mercy and that’s why it’s important that you remain alert and under the control of the Holy Spirit at all times. If you do, the devil will flee!

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7, NIV)  th (1)

I pray, Father God, for your protection from the evil one. ~Debra

th (2)Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there’s just something about that name!  Whenever you feel distance between you and God, whisper His name!

Let it sink in as you speak; restore your soul and make you aware of His presence.

There is power in the name of Jesus! ~Debra   th (1)

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”  (Acts 4:12, NIV)

His Presence

February 3, 2013 — Leave a comment

imageAre some weeks better than others?  You bet and satan is counting on you dialing into the negativity that comes along with it.

There are some Sundays  as I stand in choir I just don’t feel it! I let the events of the week cloud my mind and keep me from worship.

Be self controlled and alert.  You enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

As the music begins and the words penetrate my soul.  My spirit begins to lift and my focus returns.

When His Presences Fills This Place, problems and worries melt into praise!  It’s part of the chorus we will be singing in worship this morning.

Seek Him and dwell in His presence!~Debra

I was walking around the track at the park, taking in the sunshine when I remembered the words of a friend.  Remember to take in the beauty and sounds that surround you.

It was a very calm afternoon, NO WIND, which is very rare in west Texas.  The sun was shining, green grass, which is also very rare in west Texas, flowers and there fragrance filled the air, birds singing.

His presence everywhere.  “Thank You, Lord!”  Yep, I said it out loud.   Instantly a gush of wind whipped across my body.  It came and went.    As if to say…”You’re Welcome!”

I stopped… just to take it in.  Reflect!   Now, you may think that was just a fluke but I know better.

I love having the assurance that our Lord is always near and I can talk with Him at any moment.  Praise His Glorious Name!  Deb~
