Archives For present

imageAre you stuck in the past? Are you thinking of the things you wish you hadn’t done or things you wish you had?

God can use you if you are able to let go and let God.  He wants you to move forward and let go of your past!

God didn’t get stuck with you, He chose you!  “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last.” (John 15:16, NIV)

Satan is the accuser of the brethren…he would love for you to stay right where you are for the rest of your life.  He would like nothing more than to continue to bring up images from past!  Abortion, abuse, rape, idolatry, drugs, pornography!  Memories you replay in your mind!

imageEmpty it out!  Repentance is the closure you need from your past!  Then… stop remembering what God has forgotten and allow Him to use you!

“Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14, NIV)

imageWhy not start today?!  It’s not about the clock, it’s about consistency.  “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all thing are possible with God.”(Mark10:27, NIV)

Focus on the present and feed your mind with a positive future.   Start today by doing one thing…just one, to stretch your growth.  Listen to some inspirational cd’s, post some scripture around to memorize, add some Christian music to your collection.  And most important, read God’s word daily.

“Forget what happened long ago!  Don’t think about the past.  I am creating something new.  There it is! Don’t you see it?  I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)

God has made His choice…what about you??  Deb

th (10)There is always going to be someone to remind you of your past.  They want you to believe that because of that past, you have no future.  I’m here to tell you; that is bull!

Satan will use every means necessary to make you feel unworthy.  When you hear that being whispered in your ear, remember; “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy!” (John10:10, NIV). Christ has come that we may have life, and have it to the full.

We serve a Risen Savior! Put your hope and trust in Him! ~Debra

Not Me Lord!

thLord, how can you ask me to do that?  If they find out about my past they’ll never listen to me!

Love Heart, it because of your past and the work of God through you that they will listen!  God allows us to walk through valley’s in our life that we might be able to help others going through the same thing.I

Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (NIV)

Aren’t you more apt to listen to someone who has walked in your shoes?  Sure you are!  Don’t let it go to waste by being ashamed of what was instead of rallying in what is!  ~Debra

th (2)Nothing you’ve done will separate you from the love of God.  Whatever is holding you hostage today…let it go!  God will receive you with open arms. ~Debra

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  (Romans 8:38-39,NIV)

Resolution:  A pledge a person makes to one or more individual goals.

Have you every made a New Year’s Resolution?  I know that I must have but as I sit in this New Year and think over the past years I can’t remember a single one.

I’ve heard that if you write down your goals you are more apt to reach them.  Hmmm!

When you write down those goals you need a plan of action, right?   They’re not just going to happen on their own.

Most importantly…pray and stay in the word!  Seek His will for your life and then put that plan into action.  Let’s face it…it will not work unless He is in it.

 Resolution:

  1. Seek His will through prayer and daily Bible meditation.
  2. Write down my goals
  3. Seek a plan of action

That’s simple enough! Praying for each of you a wonderful New Year seeking Him!  ~Deb

“Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.  After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray.  When evening came, he was there alone…”(Matthew 14:22-23, NIV)

“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:13, NIV)

“Then the king will say to those at his right hand, “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?” And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:34-40, NIV)

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” (1 Corinthians 19:20, NIV)

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:29-31, NIV)
