Reading a story, watching a play or going to see a movie; what’s your motive? To see how the script plays out…right?

Have you ever heard the GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD?  (Matthew 26,27,& 28) Before the foundation of the World; God had a plan…a script!

A plan for every tribe,  for every nation and their salvation.  He used a host of characters.  Caesar Augustus, Mary and Joseph, the Parisees’ and the Sadducees and last but not least Pilate.

All doubted…Oh, how his disciples must have felt during those dark days of His crucifixion and resurrection.

But God had a plan to bring redemption through His son Christ Jesus.  Jesus paid the penalty for all through His death on the cross.

“For God so love the world the he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16,NIV)

thMany of you have heard the incredible story of Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection on a cruel cross.  It was told by men that lived and walked along side of our Savior.  You’ll find scripture accounts in all four gospels.

Crucifixion was a horrific form of death and Jesus suffered a great deal on our behalf, but the story doesn’t end there.

“He is not here, he has risen….Mark 28:6, NIV.

Job 19:25-27, NIV  “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon th earth.  And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes- I, and not another.  How my heart yearns within me!

“From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”-which mens, “My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:45, NIV)

“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. (Matthew 27:50, NIV)

“After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.  There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord cam down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.”  The Angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen…” (Matthew 28: 1-6, NIV)
