Passion

My husband and I have been watching some of the old Billy Graham ministry programs.  Wow!  He preaches straight from the heart and lead by the Spirit.  No holding back from this man.

As I watched the telecast, one thing stood out for me.  The people who had made a decision for Christ were RUNNING to the altar.  When is the last time you’ve seen or felt that kind of Passion for anything?  Especially the Lord!

Thesaurus defines Passion as: fervor, obsession, excitement, enthusiasm, zeal, delight!

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul with all your mind with all your strength!” (Deuteronomy 6:5) Deb~

Questions, questions!

What do you think is the most important decision you will make in your lifetime?  Who to marry?  Which career to pursue?  Which college will look best on your resume?  While those are all things that require thoughtful answers, they are not the important question.

What will you do with Jesus?  That’s the question.  And, it requires an answer!

Love Heart, you don’t have to be a bad person or a murderer to be a sinner.  All you have to be is less than absolutely perfect, and that’s all of us.  Since we’re sinners, we need a Savior, and Jesus of Nazareth is His name.

Jesus Himself says in Matthew 12:30a says, “He who is not with me is against me.”

Where are you?  For or against?  There is not a neutral position…no sitting on the fence with this one!  Call out to Jesus and let Him save you!  Gwen~

Fix those Eyes~

In Deuteronomy 32:15b there is a word that says, “He abandoned the God who made him and rejected the Rock his Savior.”

Are we guilty of that same thing?  Do we abandon the God who made us?  Do we reject the Rock our Savior?

If you are a Christian, you probably don’t do these things on purpose, but sometimes we “forget” Who made us.  Our enemy wants to keep us distracted.  He wants to keep us “off task.”  He wants us to lose that intimacy with our Maker.

Stay alert, Love Heart.  Hebrews 12:2 says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scoring its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Don’t lose your focus…Gwen~

I’m Excited!

April 18, 2016 — Leave a comment

I know a little tune from way back that says, “I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it!”  That perfectly describes me!  The weird thing is I don’t know what I’m excited about…exactly.

I’m excited to see where God is going to take me and what He’s going to do in my life.  I’m still excited about Love Heart Ministries and the people who are being touched for the Savior.  But, all this is completely unknown for I haven’t a clue what God will do through me and with me. I have no idea what His plan is.  All I know is that I can completely trust Him.

He’s always amazing me because I would have never been able to come up with this ministry.  It was His idea and He just shared it with me and Debra.   But, this I do know, Love Heart, I don’t want to miss out on a single thing He has in store.  How about you?  Are you looking forward to what tomorrow might bring?  Trust your Savior!  He won’t let you down.  Gwen~

Back in Shape

Ask anybody who’s gone through a regimen of physical therapy, or PT as it’s lovingly known, and they will tell you the same thing.  It’s torture!  But the exercises are completely critical in helping your body heal correctly.

What about spiritual therapy?   If you’ve got something going on in your spirit that needs to be repaired, the Great Physician can show you the exercises necessary to clear up the problem.

They may include repentance, prayer, a change of attitude, or a surrendering of a part of yourself that to this point you have been unwilling to do.  Ouch!  The pain might be great, but like your body, your spirit longs to be whole.

You don’t have to be a spiritual cripple.  Your Heavenly Father does not want that for you! Everything you need to know is found in the Bible.  If you are unfamiliar with this precious book, ask someone who knows it.  I’m certain that they will consider it a privilege to help you.  Gwen~
