Strong and Courageous

Courage doesn’t always roar.  Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says…I’ll try again tomorrow.” ~Mary Ann Radmacher.

God’s word is full of people that showed great courage.  Here are some words to live by as you face those everyday challenges.  

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, NIV)

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Psalms 27:14, NIV)

“When I am afraid, I will trust in you, In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.  What can mortal man do to me?” (Psalms 56:3-4, NIV)

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”  (Psalms 31:24, NIV)

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do everything through him who give me strength.” (Philippians 4:12-13, NIV)

“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13, NIV)   

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!  I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, NIV)

Hiding Place

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”   Selah (Psalms 32:7, NIV)

Jesus is our refuge, the one place we can hide from the storms of life.

Jesus, our shelter

Jesus, our watchman

Jesus, our protector from the enemy

Jesus, the Holy Spirit, surrounds us when the enemy strikes with troubles and sorrows.

Giving us an escape, a victory,  a joy, only found through Him!

, when we are afraid

Jesus, we can trust in YOU!

Jesus, we are weak but you make us strong!

Jesus, we will trust in YOU!  

Against the Wind

As believers we have a path that God wants us to follow.  When we deviate from that path, we are blown around like the wind, no path, just going were the wind takes us. 

We end up getting our feathers ruffled just like this mother duck and her ducklings.  Wondering what the heck is going on? 

 Our actions don’t just affect us, you see!  We have a HUGE sphere of influence.  Seek Him in every decision.

 God is faithful and if we follow Him, He will set us on the right path.  The winds will still come but you’ll be steady and strong!
