He’s Got It!

Think about when your child is pouting because he wants something. He REALLY wants it.  You have to smile to yourself because you know not only is he going to get what he wants, but a bigger and better one than he dared to ask for!

You are more than aware of what’s going to happen and when, but little Jr. is still completely in the dark and fretting over the possibilities. He has no idea that something spectacular is just ahead!

During the dark days, I think about the fact that my Father knows what’s ahead for me too. Even though I can’t see a way around the problem, He’s got it!

Trusting in my Father is not the last thing I can do, but the very best thing. He is so worthy of my full trust and confidence. As long as we travel on this earth, we will not be able to understand why and when He does the things He does.

During this Christmas season, remember that regardless of your circumstances, your Father has the answers and at just the right time, He will deliver just what you need.  Timing is everything!

“But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seem best to him.” (Jeremiah 18:4, NIV)

Who’s your Guide?

August 7, 2016 — Leave a comment

Are you worn out from the in’s and out’s of everyday life?  Do you feel like you’ve been left out in the sun without a drop of water?

Could you use some relief but don’t know where to look?

I’ve found the answer!

“The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in s sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.  You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” (Isaiah 58:11, NIV)

I’m surprised at the times I’ve tried to do things on my own power!  It never works!

For my thought are not your thought, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”  Isaiah 55:8-9,NIV)

Letting go and putting your trust in God, will mean that we don’t know what’s around the corner, but we do know it will be the right thing.

God doesn’t promise it will be smooth sailing, but He will be right there with us.  How wonderful to spend this precious time with our Lord knowing that he will never leave us or forsake us.

Let God be your guide! ~Debra

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?”(Matthew 6:26, NIV)

Are you a worrier?  I used to be.  I could work myself into a frenzy better than anyone I know.

I would walk around wringing my hands.  What am I going to do?  How am I going to fix this?

My first mistake was thinking I could do anything!!  Your Father in Heaven knows exactly what your going through.  If he takes care of the birds…don’t you think He can take care of you?

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” (Matthew 6:27)
