She worked in the dining area where breakfast was served, and she made a point to greet all the guests. The smile on her face and twinkle in her eyes were warm and genuine making you feel like you might be in Georgia’s own kitchen.
I listened as she greeted wave after wave of hungry, sleepy guests. I was drawn to her kindness and joy. I gave her a Love Heart Ministries card and told her how I appreciated her work. She told me that she loves her job. That went without saying!
When she noticed that my card was for a ministry she got very excited and showed her friend, Gracie. We talked a little more and she again talked about how much she loved her job. She told me that her beauty came from within. Did she know what I was thinking?
What Georgia doesn’t realize is that her beauty from the inside spills out all over her outside making her beautiful all over. The encounter reminded me of Colossians 3:17 which says, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
The day we left, Georgia must have had the day off. The dining area was quiet, still full of sleepy guests, and I really missed the sound of sweet Georgia’s voice greeting everyone without judgement or prejudice. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to meet her. You are in inspiration to us all, Georgia! Gwen~
